Project Description
Río Manzanas
The Company owns an 85% working interest in a silicon mineral concession (in the form of silicon dioxide, SiO2) located in the Municipality of Trabazos, Province of Zamora, Autonomous Community of Castilla y León, Spain. The project is strategically situated, with existing infrastructure in the area that includes access to cargo train stations, good roads, and ports, making it an ideal location for mining and exporting.
The Río Manzanas concession has an extension of 3 mining grids (90 hectares).
The project has reserves of 95 million metric tons of silicon dioxide (SiO2) with more than 99.25% purity. In full production, the mine will produce around 1,000,000 metric tons of SiO2 annually. The price of the ton of raw SiO2 is around 130 euros, but the purest SiO2 can be sold for considerably more, making this a lucrative venture.
The life of mine (LOM) for the Río Manzanas mine is projected to be 90 years. The Company has already secured the mining rights, but it is waiting for some environmental permits to start commercial production. The company has taken all the necessary steps to comply with the environmental regulations, and it holds a favorable environmental opinion from the Spanish authorities.
The Río Manzanas mine is located right on the border with Portugal, and a highway connects the project with the port in Oporto, Portugal, making it accessible for export to customers within all of Europe, America, and Asia. The demand for silicon dioxide is high, as it is the raw material for producing silicon metal in various grades, as well as for producing aluminum and silicones.
The Río Manzanas project is a promising mining venture, with ample reserves of almost pure silicon dioxide and a strategic location that offers easy access to export markets. The long lifespan of the mine and the potential for lucrative sales make this an attractive investment opportunity for investors looking for a long-term investment in the mining industry.
