The Granite Mining District had a long production life, although efforts were focused on the very high-grade veins that crop out on the surface. There is a 900-foot-long trench on the property that explores the main vein. Two large adits and one small prospective adit are still in good condition. There is excellent alteration found throughout the concession. Fire Assay analysis of three samples of vein material outcropping in this trench yielded results of 18.66, 27.99, and 34.21 grams per ton of gold, respectively.
The Company plans to use modern geochemical and geophysical analysis methods in the exploration of the area, in order to locate and analyze the geological structures (faults and intrusive contacts) with the greatest potential for gold exploitation. In addition, it is a priority for the Company to sample existing dumps and tailings to determine their gold content.
